There are so many that were good...I only say good because some of them (in my opinion) failed to deliver up to par movies in the second installment. But my top favorites in no particular order are...

1. Back to the Future (second one not too good)
2. The Matrix (second one not too good)
3. Blade
4. Indiana Jones
5. Original Star Wars (All good)
6. Lord of the Rings (All good)
7. The Godfather
8. Spiderman
9. The Evil Dead

Last I'm going to say The Pirates of the Caribbean even though the last one hasn't come out yet, it will have to be great too.

The original "Star Wars". When it come to "The Lord of The Rings" "Clerks II" was dead on. They were 3 movies where they did nothing but walk to a big fire, and when they got there they didn't end it. They continued with 5 extra endings that didn't need to be on film. Now I understand they followed the books very well, but there is a HUGE difference when it comes to movies and novels, and the fans are different as well.

I can't just say one so I have to say all of these:

Lord of the Rings (esp. the extended editions)
Star Wars
Back to the Future
Indiana Jones
Pirates of the Carribean (even though the third hasn't exactly come out)
Spiderman
Blade

Silence of the Lambs (or maybe that was a quad-logy)

And even though the 3rds have comeout yet, I'm gonna say Pirates of the Caribbean and Shrek.
