I am buying a new car but I am stuck between 3 of them. The 2007 Nissan altima, 07 Toyota camry and the 08 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS....My price range is up to 18,000 maybe 19,000...and I like many things about each car...Which one do you think is better?

If you keep a car for about 10 years as I do, your best bet is the Camry. It will beat the others in durability and operating cost.

The Altima and Camry are nice. Don't know about the Lancer. An alternative is the Ford Fusion, which I purchased.

It's a great car and gets Consumer Reports highest recommended buy rating, as well as their top ratings in safety and predicted reliability.

Car & Driver also ran 2 comparison tests with many of their subscribers driving the Camry, Accord and Fusion, and the test drivers in both tests chose the Fusion as their favorite.

Toyota's are generally better built than the other 2 and easier to work on than the Mitsubishi's Nissan's are generally pretty good but have more electrical problems than Toyota. All three are above average for reliability. Also when you go to sell the car Toyota's generaly have a higher resale value.

They are equally so-so at the best as far as quality, longevity, and re-sale value go. I would go with a Civic.
