Yes, they do wake up but they also sleep with no worries of bills, girlfriends, boyfriends, bad bosses, homework, etc.
... Even when they wake up crying, they are hungry and someone comes with these filled with milk breasts, or bottles and nourish them.

Because we imagine that a baby does not have the same concerns of daily life that we do, to sleep like a baby is to sleep worry free. It has nothing to do with waking up during your sleep.

Well, I think may be because when babies sleep, they do so almost forgetting the world and since the concept of this world hasn’t developed in their brain yet, so it’s worries and concerns doesn’t exist there either so the sleep they get is usually quite peaceful & deep. So I think when we fortunately sometimes get into that state, our sleep is often referred in that way...
