Yes it's an engineering job. There were and still are light cars made with bike engines. Remember that the power output of a car engine is rated for continuous running, and a bike as peak output. Running a bike engine at full power for more than a few minutes will melt it.

you do some serious engineering... i build trikes, and put car engines into bikes! the biggest problem youll have is getting a clutch thats upto the job or hauling 2 tons or metal from a standing start, without burning out. if you can sort that, and adapt the drivetrain, or would you use a shafty like a beemer or a honda...
either way, its lots of work, for not a lot of chances itll work. but, what about two engines, one on each wheel..say two blade engines... remove the chain sprockets and drive both wheels off the layshafts... a straight transverse 8, link the carbs / injection system, and link the hydraulic clutches...
well, itll work, god only knows what itll go like.... send me a picture...

isn't that style of against the spirit of the Mongol Rally besides? i theory the assumption substitute into to not take the motor vehicle ingredient too heavily and get something which will take you there in the finest way. understand that a a million litre bike engine in a vehicle will frequently be working decrease than plenty greater stress than the vehicle engine may be. that could be a bloody long thank you to Mongolia and capability optimisation isn't the precedence. that is not a race inspite of each thing and you're meant to sell the motor vehicle as quickly as you're there to enhance charity funds.

you would need to be able to retro-fit, it can be done but takes some mechanical expertise. can be done but pointless. too expensive and slow. a motor bike has a high power to weight ratio a car body doesnt. sticking a hyubusa engine into a mini will just get you to the junk yard quicker.

Some people have said to put it in the boot - how stupid is that? All you have to do is put a blanket on the back seat, and put it on that.
