Okay, I'm fat. I'm 5'3" and am 162 pounds. I need to drop about thirty pounds, my doctor says. How do I do this?

I tried the eat-less-and-excersie thingy and it didn't work!

I will tell you I lost over 30lbs not even trying! .. how .. well I'm a mechanic and I just was drinking energy drinks like 300oz a day or more and I would work my @ss to the bone and only stop to grab food in my hand and then go back to work ... I lost weight like butter ... I'm holding my weight off and still loosing I just watch what I do. If I pig out on pizza or other food high in fat I usually fast the next day or 2 and what I mean is I eat banana's for breakfast and no lunch if I eat a lunch I eat fruit or veggies.

Also drinking water will help I mean drink water and more and more water until your urine is clear then just keep up the water the rest of the day I will drink 5 or more 52oz cups of water and tea a day ... tea is an antioxidant and flushes your system ... I also take cranberry pills and drink the juice it keeps your immune system up to par which also helps.

I'm no Dr or no expert but have been able to reproduce my results over and over and it's still off ... oh yea a plus note my butt has got firmer and almost no man titties hehe ;-)

There's two main ways I found, either eat a little less or do a little more, doing both would help the most. One main thing I did that was great was I stopped drinking soda and ate only freash food, nothing cooked but as much as I wanted, even though I was eating a little more food then I had before I lost without doing much with working out because I only ate natural it makes you lose weight. Someone said once that if you only eat natural you really can't get fat easily, and will almost always lose.

Simple answer - burn more calories than you take in. All the other BS out there is exactly that - BS. You can look at it like a math problem - it takes 15 calories per pound you weigh to maintain your current weight.

So you need 2430 calories per day to maintain your weight.

It takes a reduction of 3500 calories to lose a pound. Say you wanted to lose 2 pounds per week - 7,000 calories would need to be reduced from the 17,010 you would need to maintain (2430 x 7 days= 17,010). So you subtract the 7000 calories from the 17,010 and you get 10,010. Divide that by 7 and you get 1430 calories.

Take in that many calories per day to lose 2 pounds per week.

Update your numbers every 2 weeks.

Well, I am about 5'4, and i weigh 110. I am very athletic, I do not eat after, oh 8:00-9:00(depending on when you eat dinner). Never over eat in one meal, excersise regularly, do not diet harshly, and absolutely do not STARVE yourself!! I f you have a craving, then just eat something!! But, eat something healthy, thatsb all it takes!! Just to east a healthy snack, well good luck.

Yes, it is called watch what you eat and excercise. Eat smaller portions and less fat and excercise on a reguloar bases. Check with your Dr to be sure you don't have any medical problems! Such as thyroid problems.......

I'm on two different diets now, I was on just one but I wasn't getting enough to eat. I'm trying to get back down to my original weight of 8 lbs. 3 ozs.

Eat healthy and exercises daily. You can exercise in the morning and at night. Also eliminate sugars out of your diet, such as soda,just regular sugar, and sweets.

At one time I lost 49 lbs by seeing a dietician and establishing a diet plan and sticking to it faithfully. Good luck to you!

Go vegan, you will lose lots of weight.
