I'm going to a wedding this weekend. It's at night and I'm wearing a black cocktail dress. I've decided to wear gold jewerly. I plan on wearing a gold cross and a gold bracelet. I want to add earrings and I'm thinking about medium sized gold hoops (classic, not trashy hoops) But, I think the hoops may look too dressed up and not as formal as the rest of my outfit. I'm wearing black heels w/ the dress too and a black clutch. What do we think? Yes or No, to the hoops.
I'm in my mid-20's if that helps.

i'd say ditch the cross (no offense) and go with the bracelet and hoops OR dont wear the hoops- too much gold too much jewelry- they clutter an outfit and take away from the dress. if you want to wear earrings go for studs.

Go with your gut. Try on the outfit, with the hoops. Then try on theoutfit without the hoops. Only you can decide if the hoops are to casual for the wedding.

No to the hoops, maybe try some gold studs or smaller black colored earrings, maybe go for gold shoes even!

the hoops will look just perfect, matter of fact you should just do gold studded earrings nice and simple, but hoops if you yo were to do them smaller they would be a great asset to your outfit

Hoops are a flirty type of accessory. i would go with a straight line dangling gold earring. Something with two or three straight lines. It is a sophisticated elegant.

It depends on how you wear your hair and what your dress looks like. Why not wear small hoops?

small pearls on gold (any design, hoops, posts, dangle) are always formal
you can find a cheap pair at wal-mart or a dollar store and chuck 'em the next morning, but if you don't spray perfume directly on them, they'll look real the first night you wear them

I think dangle earrings would be better....if you are wearing your hair down your hoops will not even show (unless you have short hair). I would choose something simple that looks elegant.
