I think that for the duration of the war, this would be a reasonable policy.

I'm not talking about a U.S. government policy, but a U.N. policy agreed upon by all nations.

I.E. Americans can travel within their country as much as they like, but just not allowed outside of it.

Exactly who would enforce this idiotic policy. Clearly you know nothing of the UN. If you did, you would know that the US is one of the fiver permanent members, and also has a seat on the security council.

If you yo knew anything about the UN, you would know that that are the most ineffective organization on the planet. The UN can't agree to wipe it's a s s without taking a vote, let alone enforce your idea.

The UN doesn't have the power to enforce its own rules on its members, let alone the most powerful nation in the world.

The UN was also pretty useless trying to broker peace between Israel and Lebanon last summer, so think about that.

Of course the biggest problem with your theory is that, no matter how much the rest of the world dislikes us they love our money, and they love when our people spend it in their countries giving their economies a boost. I guess you have never studied economics.

Just out of curiosity, what country do you live in and why are you so pissed at the US? I hope you're not an American, because if you are you can head north to Canada or South to Mexico.

As an American living abroad I have to disagree with you. I actually left the country when Bush got re-elected. I have stood my ground voted against him, and encouraged others to do the same. The war and our President are wrong, thousands of Americans are being sent to die based on false intelligence and our Presidents personal vendetta. One of the great things about being American though, is that we have the freedom to leave. We have the freedom to oppose so greatly what our country has become that we no longer want to be a part of it. I can see not letting Americans travel to conflict zones (though we have no problem sending our troops into them to die), but it is ridiculous to say that Americans should not be allowed outside the US.

Every time I think I've heard all the dumb a-- stuff there is to hear
along comes something else. Wait that may be a good idea, all our troops who've been in the DMZ in Korea for the past 50+
years can come home, maybe Taiwan would love to hear that to.
Why don't you ask them about your idea and the equally useless UN.

The UN can agree on whatever lame uninforceable policy it wants. That one wouldn't be much dumber or less practical than some others.

That would be kinda hard to do because of America's reliability on foreign business. I don't think it would be a good investment for this country.

What makes you think Americans can't leave the country?

i do not think that would work at all. we would have to close our borders to all other countries, which means no tourism. also other countries benifit from american companies being overseas and from tourism as well.

Just make sure the hateful, obsessed Canadians stay out.
And guard our nothern border, politicians.
