I know u can get urge or napster for 10 bucks but it doesnt let u burn just listen and copy to mp3 player. u have to pay full price for a song or cd if u want to burn. and please dont say just get some illegal thing.

thanks

nope, rhapsody lets you listen all you want if you are a member (thats what your subscription gets you), but if you want to keep a song or album and put it on your mp3 player you still have to buy it. even with a subscription. rhapsody is ok in that you can listen all you want to albums before you buy, but... thats only if you go for their "rhapsody unlimited" (more expensive) service. they have a radio station that has no limits, although you cant choose what to hear yourself. as with all internet music sites, the quality of mp3s you download from rhapsody still isnt as good as music from cd. mp3s from rhapsody also use DRM digital rights management, its not copy protection, but the files may stop working if you quit the service, dont have an internet connection anymore, or worst of all-if rhapsody ends their service themselves by not selling/quitting their website-all your downloaded music would no longer work- what a waste of money! DRM protected files may not play on all devices you want them to either (eg another pc, although mp3 players im sure are fine!).

i think mp3 sites arent really worth it at the moment until they have songs that are DRM free (apples itunes service offer DRM free and higher quality tracks -from this month- for a higher price) and better quality (at least 200 to 360kbps), and have no limits on where you can copy or listen to them. i think rhapsody sells songs at 192kbps quality, which is good but with rock music you can hear the difference between the mp3 and the original cd if you compare. rhapsodys radio station is only 128kbps quality. another problem with mp3 websites is on how much variety of music they offer- some record labels and bands dont offer their music on mp3 download stores at all, some even refuse to, and even itunes doesnt have everything (prob the best service at the moment-even if you dont 'like' apple-theyre doing the mp3 service better than most). because of mp3 websites, normal cd albums are getting much cheaper anyway, so i dont think its really worth it at the moment, but thats just my opinion ...scott, heelands o scotland. zzzzZzz

there is no such factor as a secure, loose, sturdy music get carry of provider, which you have 0 danger of having a virulent disease from. in case you opt to get ur music illegally than your proper wager could be limewire, i comprehend lots of people who use it and dont get viruses your dad probably in basic terms dled a bad report. you in basic terms could desire to be careful or you would be able to desire to basically LEGALLY purchase the cds or the songs off of itunes and dodge this situation completely

Rhapsody (Real Networks) might give you that option. I have not used the service in a few years and don't know the current policy.
