How do you escape a abusive ex-boyfriend, who won't go away?

You may even have to go to a shelter for a while.

But, most importantly don't give him any type of idication that you all have a chance of being back together. Abusive partners only see black and white. If you are done with him, then be done with him completely.

Getting restraining orders, and keep documentation. If you are able to reside with some family or friends for a while do that and be aware of your surroundings at all times.

The only way to get rid of him is by getting a protection order and make sure that you get an officers name and someone you can contact in case of a violation of the protection order. In most states you have to prove that there is a reason for the order like a threat or something that you can prove, sometimes they push it aside because there are girls out there who break up with their boyfriends and want get the order only to go back and ask for a revocation of the order.
