Scottie, if you want to see baseball played the way it was ment to be played. You would not see any gloves, no batters helmets, and the ball would be made out of a very diffrent material. Home runs would be non existant, and the pitcher would pitch the whole game.
Now that were done with the fantasy aspect of baseball! The American League is much better then the National League. The AL has more World Series then the NL. With teams like the Yankees and the Red Sox spending more money then most countries make, you have the best rivalry in baseball.
If the NL was better, then the AL (the Younger of the 2 leagues), wouldn't have a 18 win advantage over the older NL. The AL has won 60 of the 102 world series that have been played.
Even with the NL winning a series last year, the AL has dominated the World Series. Just think the Yankees have 26 Rings, the closest NL team has 10 (STL).

The last couple years the American league has whipped the National League in interleague play, so I'm going to say the American league is the better of the two.

Depends whether the strategy that comes with having the pitcher bat and having to bat for the pitcher in key spots, along with things like double replacements to get an extra inning out of a pitcher interest you more than having guys like Frank Thomas, David Ortiz, Jason Giambi, et al come to the plate 5 times in a game. The league ERA in the American league is higher than in the National League because the DH brings much more offense.

In the National league, pitchers have to hit so and in American so American league is better if the pitchers can't hit. Depending on where you live, you'll like american or national. The better league based on stats, tho, is theAmerian. Red Sox, Yankees, Brewers, etc

The American League. Last year in Interleague play only 1 NL team went over .500 (The Rockies), and four of the best teams in the A.L. (Red Sox, White Sox, Tigers, Twins) went a combined 61-11 against NL teams. Also four of the best NL teams (Padres,Cardinals,Mets,Dodgers) went a combined 24-37 in Interleague play.

The National league is, simply because the American league brings a guy off the bench to hit in place of the pitcher. Why? I guess the pitchers are affraid of the baseball....lol.

Well of course the American league has been better the past several years, but these young teams in the N.L. are starting to shape up. Brewers have the best record and hottest team in baseball right now. Yes, we all know that A.L. hitters are dominant over N.L. pitching, but this year, i think the N.L. wins it
