It is probably a boneless spare rib in a Chinese barbecue sauce. Looks great, tastes good, but fattening as can be.

The only red meat on a stick I have seen is tandoori. But thats Indian.

The only thing I can think of that fits your description is beef sticks. If they are red, they are not cooked enough. I like my meat well done.
