What is the best Paging file size for Windows Vista I have 1 GB of RAM

If you have a fast Hard drive, I would suggest 2.5GB

With Windows Vista, the best thing to do is to allow the OS to control the page file. Microsoft has made really good strides in that portion of the OS and it does a very good job at managing your settings for your specific HW profile. I would suggest that you do upgrade to 2 GB though. Vista wants 1/3 of all of your RAM as a general rule for both the OS and Office. So always get the most that you can afford (up to 3GB if you aren't running 64 bit).

General rule is 1.5 times the physical memory installed.

Allow Windows to define/adjust it. It can do it on the fly.

All paging files should be 2GB. I have 768MB RAM and I use a 2GB Paging File.
