If you mean the big 50's hit, it was The Spaniels, however some others have sang it, but not with the same affect and popularity, that they had.

The song has been recorded several times......
Rudy Vallee....in the 20's
Bing Crosby.....in the 30's
The Maguire Sisters......in the fifties


So I think Rudy Valle is the first artist to RECORD the song but who SANG it first....difficult to find out

The Spaniels, which of course people have already pronounced. I stay in pennsylvania, which I doubt you do, yet there is this amusment park observed as, Waldameer. At remaining time, they play that track. I even have grown to love that track. =]]
