Does anyone remember a movie.......?

Question

...probably from the late 60's, where a man (I believe) was put into a barrel, the barrel had nails driven through it all over, and they rolled him down a hill? I know, it sounds gruesome, but did I imagine this, or is it a real movie? That's the only part I remember......

(Hapless victim being held inside top-and-bottom opened barrel, by several town members)

(Town mayor speaks.....)

"Lie still....I say, hey...you lie still now....we're gonna do sump'tin wit' dis barrel...and if you move, yer gonna get hurt...now don't move now"

(Hammer viciously banging nails into barrel, extending sharply through inner lining, and well exposed for cutting into....)

"All right, everybody...we'all ready for the barrel roll, now??? Let's do it......"

(Barrel begins to roll down the hill, tumbling over and over, nails plunging into flesh, over and over again)

"Ayyyyyeeeeeiiiiii"!!!!!
