As part of the human immune system, there are two types of memory cells: Memory B cells and Memory T cells. These cells are formed during a particular immune response, much like the typical B and T cells are produced, through cell division. The difference is that the memory cells remain within the body, helping the body "remember" how to fight off a previous infection.
