Well, if you want to go by players and not by the core itself I would say the detroit lions. They have the most athletically talented core in the game right now. However, for some reason they just don't seem to be so successful. The best core that can actually do something would have to be the colts. Yes they have the best QB right now, but he makes the core good so......Thats what it is!

No doubt it's the Colts.
I mean just look at it.
Marvin Harrison. He's a definite hall of famer. He can pretty much catch any ball that's thrown to him. Probably one of the best at running routes. THE best receiver currently in the league and one of the best in history of NFL>
Reggie Wayne. An extremely talented receiver. If he was on any other team, he'd be the star receiver of the team. His talents are shadowed by being on the team w/ Harrison. A top caliber receiver that will be the star receiver of the colts once Harrison retires. He's another big number and a possibly hall of fame receiver.
Anthony Gonzales. We can't really say how he'll fill into the colts playing scheme. However, to think if colts drafted this guy, he definitely has good work ethic and a good value. He'll be a starting receiver taking the spot of Stokley. I do not in saying that he's a productive receiver that will be very important to the colts
So looking at all that... i'd have to say the colts have the best WR core in the NFL

This is a great question.

I think there are three top candidates.

Think of Indianapolis as the veteran of the 3. Marvin Harrison is as steady as they come. Double digit TDs and > 1000 yards receiving each year are a constant for him. Reggie Wayne is the man on the other side. He is big, strong, and poses a huge matchup problem for opposing DBs. Plus, you have Manning in the mix who increases the value of these guys.

Cincinnatti is the up and comer of the group. Chad Johnson is an emerging force on the outside. TJ Houshmanzadeh, aside from a few injury proplems is a dependable option. Chris Henry even showed promise before his childish behavior got him suspended for a big chunk of the season. Carson Palmer helps things here as Peyton does in Indy.

Arizona is the young rookie of the group. In just the last couple of years Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin form the leagues premire pair of young wide-outs. Time will tell if these guys jell with Leinart and move up this list of 3.

It's probably a bit early, but keep your eye on Detroit. Roy Williams is the man, though fragile. Calvin Johnson is a beast. Put the two of them together with offensive wizard Mike Martz and fireworks are sure to follow.

Indianapolis Colts

These are three hard working receivers{dont see that a lot these days}, care a great deal about the team

Now I understand Gonzalez is a ? but the others will teach and Peyton will not let him not succed its impossible with him there. So with all that the Colts are the best.

And for all of you saying teams like the Lions, Cardinals, and Patriots i will explain why i dont like that choice.

Lions are all potential and will never see it shine with Kitna as their quarterback.

Cardinals have a great PAIR of wideouts. Johnson as never been realized and as Lineart as there QB who does have talent, but will never will be great.

Okay now the Pats. Moss i dought his passion for the game and I HATE these people who act like this{T.O}. Stallworth is a par of a receiver and the third position is just a big mess of wideouts.

the Patriots have the best WR core in the NFL. Look they have Randy Moss, Donte Stallworh, Wes Welker, Caldwell, Gaffney, Brown, and Washington. Come on that is better than Indy or Ciny WR's.

i might ought to assert Minnesota, Kansas city, Atlanta and Tenessee all have particularly susceptible huge receivers. Alot relies upon on the QB nevertheless seem what Brady did final year with not something. That stated i might ought to supply Atlanta the worst thinking they traded Schaub to Houston and Vick would be in detention center or on the least suspended for 0.5 the season.

New England Patriots. On Paper and on the field.

Moss, Stallworth, Brown.

You can throw in Chad Jackson, Kelly Washington, Reche Caldwell, Wes Welker, and Jabar Gaffney as well!

The Seahawks have thousands of good receivers! Branch, Hackett, Burleson, Engram, Obomanu, and the two draft picks. We gave up our most productive receiver but we also gave up his drops. None of the receiving options we have now are known to drop balls. Stevens and Jackson are gone. Watch Hasselbeck have a monster season because you have to watch all of our receivers and Shaun Alexander. All while trying to get around a very good O line. Super Bowl!!!

the colts and the cardinals are two of the few with multiple pro bowlers at the position. the rams do too but Bruce hasn't been since 02. the pats are all speculation (Moss hasn't been great of late, Welker is more know as a returner, and Stallworth has the ability to be great but isn't one of the best in the division by a long shot). so are the Lions.

i'd take the colts due to route running...
