Indy - after Indiana Jones.
Part of my surname is 'Jones' and I have a bit of a penchant for running headlong into trouble and scrapes. I got called this at school the second the first film came out!
I also crack a mean whip...

Heidi-ho
dont like it for some reason. oh yeah and i seem to remember Gertrude.
those were names given to me by my moms dad (not alive anymore) so im not called that anymore. i think ive sometimes been called Heidi-ho as a joke but theyre mostly out of the picture.
what dorky names huh? Heidi-ho because my name is Heidi and i guess because the character i was named after is a German girl and my ancestors were German...so i suppose i am of German descent.

Mosschops.
when i was 15, my boyfriend at the time started calling me this. Mosschops was a little animated clay dinosaur that used to be the main character of a kids tv program. still don't understand quite why he thought i suited that nickname, but it's stuck with me ever since !

Ptolemy, I got it when I sang in a punk band back in the early to mid eighties. We all took different names, and mine was Ptolemy Alexander. Ptolemy was an ancient Eygptian ruler, and Alexander came from Alexander the Great. Today, I have specialized license plates on my car:PTOLEMY

In high school my nickname was "Hooter goddess" I think you can figure out how I got that nickname ;)
In college my nickname was "Skipper" as in Barbie's little sister because I went to school with a dumb blonde name Barbie, and I fell for my friends' joke.
After college, my nickname was "Thunderbolt" because I would get these lightening like flashes of what I thought was genius and it would turn out to be something totally stupid. So my co-workers started calling me "thunderbolt" in jest.
