I'm interested in knowing what the normal chance of pregnancy is, after unprotected sex. I hear a lot of couples speaking of the fact that they try to have children for several months without success, and such. Is this typical?

thats way too big of a question here. Some get pregnant easy...others have weak eggs, weak sperm etc. Some women don't ovulate regularly, they have issues with hormones......so many factors. In my family BC pills don't work as our hormone levels are too high, we get pregnant easy.....

Pregnancy, is such a wishy washy thing! Because every womans ovulation is different, as well as every mans sperm are too! It all depends basically on the concept of chance. Normally to get pregnant a ovum (egg) has to be released from the womans ovaries, however an egg is not always released. And with sperm it all has to do with the number count a man puts out and also if they are viable sperm. What is normally done when a couple is trying to get pregnant is they try and track the womans ovulation cycle and have sex around the time that she supposedly releases an egg, either that or they just have sex everyday. But there are so many things that can occur for pregnacy to not occur. But you would never think that looking at how many people get pregnant after just one time lol. So it's really one of those things that you just have to give wonder too, without ever having a real answer.

I do not use any protection with my husband. I know that right around the 14 day after my last menstrual cycle is when I am ovulating. I would say that if we were to have another child we would try during those 4-5 days that we normally do not. Our son was conceived turning that time frame. He is 12 now and we have not had any other children. For couples that have tried for More that six month without success should see a infertility provider.

Yes, it's totally typical. Each month, a woman really only has a 2-3 day window where she is most fertile and then everything else has to fall into place. I can't find the actual statistics of the percent chance a woman can get pregnant, but it obviously declines the older a woman gets. Some women will still get pregnant the first try, and others won't for years. They say after you've been trying for a year, that's when you should go get tested to see if anything's wrong.

Your chance is twenty percent per month. For a couple where both people are healthy, AND doing it at exactly the right time, it takes 5 months on average. It takes 3 days for a man's sperm count to build up to maximum, which helps if your trying to get pregnant. I had a friend who tried for a year just sort of randomly, then got one of those ovulation predictor test kits (available at Target) and it worked for her the first month. Having lots of sex could possibly just backfire because it could make his sperm count lower on the target day. If your this excited and anxious, spend the fifteen bucks, and abstain for three days before you try. Good luck!

if u have unprected sex 14 days from the verry frist day of your period u have a 40% chance of becoming preg that is if u have normal periods and they are regular like example every 24 or 28 or 30 days if they are not then u have a lesser chance of becoing preg becuse u will not ovulate at a reg time and u will need to use some kind of on line ferility caculator to figure this out

You have an 85% chance of conceiving within a year of unprotected sex. it's pretty normal not to conceive on your first, second, or even third month. It can take time. But if you know your cycles and have no fertility problems, it can happen really fast! (Or if you're on birth control and trying not to get pregnant, like I was, it can sneak up on you! hehe.)

I've always heard that too. Especially if someone has been on birth control for years....well I was on it for 3 yrs and stopped like a month before I wanted to concieve and I got pregnant the 1st try...same thing with baby #2. I would say start taking prenatal vitamins and eat healthy to prepare your body and hopefully that will help also.

they say you have a 20% chance every cycle to fall pregnant, and normally you will within 6 mnths of trying but it can take upto a year. If you are under 30 wait a year before tests if over 30 then wait 6 mnths.

I think it depends on alot of things like if the girl is regular with her periods and the amount of times your having sex in a week to try makes a difference they say the man's sperm needs 48 hours to regenerate there are alot of factors it all depends on the people.
