I understand your question, perhaps you should have added some additional information. I don't agree that blacks are being brought down by the white man. There are many situations where a white person may have influences or power over the outcome of a situation, which may affect a black person. It is an obstacle that many blacks face and encounter through housing discrimination, employment, jobs etc. For the most part this is not a concern or a thought in the back of a white person's mind when applying for any of the above mentioned things. Although, some will argue about affirmative action, etc, which can prohibit and also encourage people to apply for things, they did not feel they may have had an opportunity to acquire. Racism is so embedded into the psyche of blacks and whites as well.

So if you define Racism, defined as a "system of advantage based on race"of advantage, and you include the theory of "white priviledge" then you've got something.

I suppose we have a difference in definitions of racism. I'm not going to bother bringing out the dictionary definition of it, but to most people, racism is simply acting in a negative way towards someone of another race BECAUSE the person is of another race.

The term "hymietown", used by Jesse Jackson, was a racist comment, pure and simple. Power has nothing to do with it. In fact, since you probably know firsthand how crappy racism is, one might think that blacks should be held to a higher standard when it comes to racial sensitivity. You certainly don't have a blank check to say whatever you feel because of your paranoia of what us "white folks" are doing to keep you down.

The bottom line is that you will probably continue to feel entitled to say whatever you please, even when you know it isn't right to do so. If this is the case, then look around you at the rabid racists surrounding you here and count yourself as one of them because THEY feel just as entitled to act like cretins because THEIR skin is a certain color. Their rationalization means no more than yours.

Are you kidding me? The statement you JUST made is racist. Racism is not about authority. Anyone can hate... It doesn't matter what their skin color is. And for the record, I am white and I am probably the least racist person you will ever meet. I would never judge somone or try to bring them down simply because they are different from me. Not everyone is a statistic you know.

Racism is hating another race, not controlling it. And as to blacks never haveing power, here's a little history for you. Egypt is in Africa, and quite a few other kingdoms of enormous power have existed there.

These kingdoms sold people of the same black ethnicity to white people for money. So the majority of the slaves were sold to us by their fellow black people.

Black people can be racist and hate other ethnicities, every ethnic group can.

Yeah whatever...you are so wrong about the power I won't even address that.
Tell Don Imus that blacks have no power.
Anyone that prejudges another person or treats them different according to race is a racist.
So if you ever said, cracker, peckerwood, or honkey then you were revealing your racist bias.
Did you realize white slavers bought slaves from blacks?
People lacking in power would not be able to sell other people.
You have no basis in facts for your opinion.

So as someone who has First American blood, I'd be in my rights condemning all white AND black people individually and as a group for being part of the non-American force that attacked and took all our power and brought us down even further?

Silly. Everyone wants an excuse to feed their ego and put down someone else. You have yours. It won't help, anyone. It's just a needy way to avoid taking responsibility for your own life.

You are being racist. by saying the white man brought them down.
So therfore you are a racist, by saying whites are racist.
What makes blacks above being racist? what makes you think they can't be racist? When you yourself are.

How can blacks not be racist? Don't they bit** and whine all the time about the Cracker bringing them down? Please Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are two of the most racist men in America. Stop complaining, you were never a slave and no white person alive has ever owned a slave.

Racism has nothing to do with power, it'a about hate.

I honestly believe that Black people are more racist than white people. Most White people really don't care.

I think the fact that you even bring it up proves my point.
