Not at all. We're all gonna buy gas...

It never has, and probably never will. Gas pricing is all about supply and demand. Unless people reduce their gasoline consumption on a permanent basis, then prices will remain high. All of the gasoline refinaries in the US are ancient dinosaurs, and whenever there is a problem at one, it causes prices to increase, because there is less supply and the same demand. Eventually, the world will run out of oil, and then there will be no more gasoline.

You can always hope. And I don't know why everyone is bitching the gas day. you complain about the price of gas then about complain when people try to do something to change it. I'm doing it. Wether it makes a difference or not, I can at least say I tried.

I dont think it will make a big difference on the gas prices just in one day. It never hurts to try though.

I day of people not buying fuel wont make that big of an impact on the mega billion dollar oil companies.

If you really wanted to make the oil companies suffer, one day of not buying gas WON'T WORK. You will just fill up your tank on another day. Try biking! Only use your car for road trips or only when you absolutely need it. That's the only thing that could affect them!

I would LOVE to be optimistic and say yes but it's such a HUGE corporations, it may dip they're sales for a day and make them cringe a little but I don't think it will leave a huge mark and make them want to drop prices like everyone is hopeing for. I think it would have to be done for more than one day.. but people would have to not use gas in there rigs for those days.. aka.. walk, bike.. they make just as much when EVERYONE fills up the day before and the day after.. enough to make up for that one day.....?

I really don't think so. People will stock up on gas the day before and make up for it the day after.

No because everyone will get gas tomorrow, so the same amount of gas is going to be used/bought either way.

of course not - what ever gas would have been bought today was either bought yesterday or will be bought tomorrow -

the only way it will work is to drive LESS -

just not going to the gas station on one particular day will make absolutely no difference

It just hurts the gas station owner. Its does nothing to the wholesaler or the oil companies or supply. Demand would just go up the next day.

We ought to be using our own untapped resources and not depending so much on the middle east. The price of gas is ridiculous and the fat cats line their pockets a little more. But the answer to your question I seriously doubt it. We are to use to get in the car and go.......and so?
