In my opinion they are comfy! I love thongs. G-strings can get uncomfortable after a while, but thongs are great. I never wear anything else.
Check out Victoria's Secret, they have a lot of different types of thongs, so I'm sure you could find some that are comfy. The "Pink" line from Victoria's Secret are soft cotton and are stretchy, so they are super comfy. Silk ones are really great too. They always have things going like "5 for $20".
If you don't want to wear thongs then tell your husband forget it, their not comfy. You can still find really cute and sexy regular panties. Or just surprise him one day, and go with nothing. ;)

Its Just You.
If you wear granny panties you might as well kiss your love life goodbye. No man likes a girl in underwear. Just listen to Sisquo's Thong Song.
Thong the thong thong thong biiiyatch!

Thongs are really not that comfortable, but the more you wear them, the more used to them you get. I have a couple of thongs that I wear only to spice things up, so to speak, because they are not comfy at all, but he likes the way they look. I have other thongs that are cotton and stretchy and more comfy that I wear once in a while to work (no panty line!) but I change immediately when I get home.

Perhaps they are for you or perhaps it is a matter of fit. I used to tease my wife about her "ganny underwear" so about 8 years ago I bought three thongs for my wife, but they were too small and where uncomfortable for her. We were going out for the evening and she thought that she would surprise me by wearing one of them under her dress but they became too uncomfortable for her. Half way through dinner she wound up taking them off in the ladies room. And this was at a church dinner! The look of relief on her face when she returned was priceless.
She took the others back and the sales girl diplomatically suggested trying a larger size which she did (because she did not want to look too stuffy) and she found those far more comfortable. Now she mostly wears thongs, but if she is wearing a dress and wants to be really comfortable she wears nothing at all underneath. Not obvious to anyone as her dresses are below the knee.
About two years ago, she decided to turn the tables on me. She cut up my old boxers into dust cloths (there were all pretty ratty) and replaced them with thongs for men. I wore one for a day and came home with a dozen boxers that night! She howled with laughter over that and still teases me into wearing one once in a while but they were way to "stringy" and tended to cut in a bit. Not as well made as hers.
So I stopped caring about what she wore and we both do what is comfortable for ourselves.

I love thongs! I find regular underwear really uncomfortable...
I don't exactly have any "tips", but make sure that when you put a thong on you don't pull the back bit right up your backside, or that will be uncomfortable! Just let it rest where the "string" part naturally goes and it should feel just fine.
And remember, practise makes perfect!
Hope that helped, and good luck, hehe.

Too bad for your husband because it's your body. Some women might love wearing thongs, but if you think it's uncomfortable don't change yourself to please others in such a trivial matter.
I don't find them very comfortable either, but I just wear them so I don't get a panty line in some of my clothes.

I would rather not wear them either, but when I do, I find that Victoria's Secrets thongs are the most comfortable.

I've found by buying thongs 3 sizes or so larger than my jean size the thong isn't uncomfortable.
It pretty much feels like going commando.

Dont use G-strings, they hurt, but regular stretchable thongs are comfortable.
Try something silky from Victoria Secrets, their simplest thongs are like $7.50 , no frills, just plain comfort.

Try strictly cotton ones from the Pink collection at Victoria's Secret. Lace and other things are too itchy and uncomfy- cotton ones from VS feel like you're wearing nothing at all.
