When there are still starving childen in the world? Wouldn't all that money be better spent looking after them? Now I'm all for animal rights, but as long as there are kids dying in third world countries, I couldn't give a flying feck about homeless dogs

Why aren't all of these chariies giving the money to children instead of bloody animals, which most of us eat anyway, shouldn't children get priority?

There are also ads on TV to get you to buy things you don't need, add to your collections of useless possessions, get you to eat food not healthy for you ... so to go along the same line of thinking, shouldn't you be giving all your money to the needy and hungry, and living a sparse, no-frills life yourself? Doesn't that fit in with the same thought?

Well, I do care about homeless dogs. I've worked in animal rescue. Some people's hearts go out to unwanted animals. As for people, they know damn well how to voluntarily curb their reproduction, and still, billions of them blatantly refuse to do so. Why should I feel sorry for that? However, I do feel sympathy for the children who live in poverty, which is why I sponsor children as well as rescue animals. If you don't have it in your heart to sponsor a homeless animal, fine. Don't do it. But why be opposed to getting the information out there to people who do care enough to do something about it?
