I'm bi-racial (Halle Berry's skin color) but I have green and brown eyes, what is the best eye shadow to make the green in my eyes stand out more?

Hi there, well from what I gather from your personal description, you seem to have a Neutral undertone, this means that due to your skin tone and your eye color you actually have characteristics of both cool and warm undertones. Neutral colored makeup will suit you well, as will earthy colors like green etc. I noticed almost everyone who answered this question before me suggest purple and to a degree I understand because the "mauve and berry" color family includes purple (as well as plums, cranberries, lilacs and burgundies) and it is a neutral color family, but do not by any means restrict yourself to just mauve and berries, you can also use the "coral and red" color family which includes colors such as "peaches, corals, oranges, brownish reds, tawnies, apricots and all shades of red". All in all you will find a color that suits you best and you probably already have. Some of us only have to look in the closet to see what color rules our wardrobe because sometimes we unconsciously pick more of the color that flatters us most. Also, if you want to have your eye color stand out more, try to curl your lashes and add some mascara to "open" up your eyes.

Hope this helps

Using a brown or slightly pink shadow will pull out the green. Also, I think it's Covergirl, has packs of eyeliners and shadows specifically for certain colored eyes. You can look at those and decide if you want to play them as hazel or more green and you'll have a basic outline of things to try from them

Purple looks great with almost any color eyes. Also try green shadow. I have green eyes and when I wear a bit of green shadow it makes them pop even more. I have also found that lining with black eyeliner makes a huge difference.

use a brown toned shadow. although this may sound as if the brown shadow will bring out the brown coloring of your eye, it will not. contrast is the key to making the color of your eyes stand out. using the same color shadow as your eye color will wash it out. so by using the brown shadow, it will wash out the brown in your eyes and help bring out the green more.

Well Green and Blue eyeshadow almost never works...
I would say gray is a pretty neutral color, kinda boring though.
A dark mascara would frame your eyes and bring it out followed by dark eyeshadow.
Never try deep purple.

Here's a color guide to help you: http://www.beautyden.com/beautycolors.shtml

You can wear almost any color as long as it matches your skin tone. Here's how to determine your skin tone.

Warm skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear green.
2. Gold jewelry is more flattering than silver jewelry.

Cool skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear blue.
2. Silver jewelry is more flattering.

Purple looks really good on green eyes, it makes them pop. You could also use a shade of purple for eyeliner.

GREEN or HAZEL EYES
Tried and True: brown, apricot, purple, plum, deep khaki or forest green (because they are in the same greenish family, they brighten green eyes).
I hope this helps you!

what ever colour you choose, just remember to put a warm gold or light copper just below your eyebrow - where your browbone is most prominent. you don't even have to use any other eyeshadow and is perfect for night/day

just remember to smile, that makes your entire face stand out!
