I agree 100%, in fact they are the same, the liar is stealing your time or attention...just my thoughts anyway.

Both, as seen in insurance companies.
But if I had to choose between just one or the other... a thief. Because it can be easy to tell who is lying with practice, but a thief can always catch you by surprise.
Also, you can come back from being lied to and no harm is done, but once something is stolen it is GONE. So you have to be extra careful with important stuff.

I've caught more liars than thiefs.. Liars hurt you and it takes time to heal.. Thiefs (if/when) caught will give you your stuff back...
