Do you mean when I was a baby, or when the animal was a baby? I'll assume the later. I would rather have the monkey as they can be trained. Mountain lions cannot and need big litter boxes.

Monkey. Although if I got the mountain lion I could train him to walk upright which would be the coolest thing ever.

Neither would be appropriate as a pet, but if I had massive amounts of money, I'd have a wildcat reserve and take in all the cats that people thought would be "cute" to have - until they grew up!
Mountain lions (pumas) would be on the list, but my favorite would probably be the jaguars.

i'd go for the mountain lion, monkeys tend to like to throw poo around after a while and i cant deal with that at all lol

A monkey, less threat of being killed. A friend had a pet monkey and I got kinda close to the cage and before I could react the dastard grabbed me, jerked to the cage and bit me. That dastard was strong and he hurt me.

mountain lion, i love cats and monkeys are just ugly. plus you would have it in a diaper until it died and monkeys can live until how old?
