yes is good but u have to udate and remove from safe mode using f8

Go to http://www.infectedornot.com and run a free virus scan there. They let you use the Panda Total Scan for free as a promotion.
You will detect your virus but also any other kind of malware you might have in your pc.
Then run the AVG in safe mode (F8) and restart pc

Most likely is, it updates almost daily. I and most of my friends use it.
