When is it okay to stop wanting more out of life and just enjoy the things you have?

I've always thought that you should strive for improvement in your life but sometimes I feel like in doing this I miss out on a lot of the joy I could have. When is enough, enough?

When you realize that Happiness is a Journey not a Destination.

It's ok at any time. But at some point most people realize that more isn't always better and that the things that matter most aren't things...the things that matter most are family, love, health, friendship, those "things" that give you comfort that money and acquisitions never will. I wish I had known that earlier in my life but I know it now and it gives me composure and a greater sense of purpose and place in my life. I will admit, it is a difficult realization to come to early in life. So however old you are, I give you credit for at least asking.

yes you should enjoy the things you have but you should also strive to be better to better yourself. Remember alot of people seek happiness but when they get it what they truly want is to look inwardly at themselves and feel themself feeling happy, but live in the moment.

If people were content with what they had -- we would still live in caves and die at age 25.

There is not any specific moment. I think there must be some balance among when we are satisfied and when we want more.
