Can you say VOLUNTEER ARMY? There are plenty of men and women(notice I didn't say children) who volunteer for the armed forces who come from wealthy families.
The idea that only sending rich kids to war would end wars is ridiculous.

Maybe because children don't always hold the political views of thier parents.
Consider, if your parents were supporters of the war, would you want to be dragged out of your peace march and sent to Iraq?
Adults serve in the military, and they serve voluntarily, according to thier own conscience and ability.

I have a better idea. Lets change things so that only people who are willing to go to war can do so.
Even better, we could allow only people who volunteer to be in the military there.
What do you mean we have an all volunteer army? Michael Moore says that Bush is sending the poor to war...

I think people who support war should sign up for the military and people against it shouldn't be deployed

How do you explain the prince of England going to Iraq? Do you think his choice to serve his country will keep England out of wars?

Where have you been? Republicans support the war...the majority of soldiers are republican...many rich families have sons and daughters in Iraq...even Prince Harry has enlisted to go.
Those who are not Republican and still in Iraq anyway VOLUNTEERED to join.

Are you suggesting that those who have volunteered should sit on their butts and do nothing more than collect a paycheck?
I'm thinking that those who volunteer to serve their country, enter into the service with their eyes wide open. NO?

Why? Because this is America, the home of the FREE. And because we have volunteer military. That's why.
AND, why is what you propose fair? Someone would be forced into the military just because one of their parents happened to support the war? Just because their family happened to have money? Sounds like a totalitarian regime to me, not the democracy that America has fought so hard for.

When you use some common sense(which is sorely lacking on here sometimes) you'll find that there aren't enough rich people with sons to put in an army and have it fully manned.

Why do people continue to post these idiotic questions?
There is NO draft! There is NO compulsory military training (like Israel has) in the US! We have a completely VOLUNTEER military!
WHAT DON'T YOU GET?
