I am updating my website and I have music on my home page. It does not have words and I don't think distracts anyone from reading the site. I remember someone telling me that having music on every page makes each page take longer to load. Is it worth it? After all, it is a music site.

Check it out if you want, it is a private site, no spam and I am not trying to sell anything. My only purpose is to get my music out into the world.

It's OK to have on the home page, but too put it on every page is a bit repetitive and then that will result in the guest getting irritated. And it does slow down a considerate amount so limit the music to the up most minimum. The truth is that music can be distraction to some people if the person is trying to read about you or other items in your web page. Keep your music limited to your Music link and on your home page and it will be a decent web page. I've listened to your music and I have to to say it's good, I wish you luck for the future and keep up the good work.:-)

I would agree that having music played constantly on every page will slow the site way down. A solution could be to have buttons on the page so if the people want to hear the music, all they have to do is click on the page. Just a suggestion.

Even though your site is dedicated to music, I wouldn't suggest having music playing on every page, especially if the user has no way of turning it off. It's fine to have one on your starting page, but I'd suggest displaying the control so that visitors can turn it off if they need to. As for the other pages, I'd provide links to the music, so that the visitor can download it if they're interested...

If the site is based on music, then yes. Anything else, and it comes off as unprofessional. Considering your website has music in it, I would say its ok.

No...please don't. And if you do, make it a player that doesn't automatically start. I hate when I'm sitting here quietly browsing the net and all of a sudden someone's crazy music scares the crap out of me. Also - it will make your page load slower.

It is your website. Put the music on if you want to. Or maybe, have a special section just for the music.

Personally, I think you need to let the user control his or her experience at your web site. Thus, let them click on readily available links to hear your music.

i does no longer recommend you to make the main of track, persons do no longer particularly prefer to hearken to that track, atleast i do no longer. in case you insist on applying track, I say use some Bach or Mozart or.... i admire Bach's Prelude in C. the talents is you are able to usually no longer be in violation of somebody's copyright and that's extra in all probability to circulate sturdy with %.. returned i'd desire to declare the track in all probability a minus to the persons who come on your internet site, in simple terms sense what is going to ensue in the event that they have destructive appropriate audio equipment.
