Yes, but I'd think they were weird. The Iraq thing, at this point, is pretty much fubar, and I don't know that anyone would be doing a better job than Bush at managing it right now. However, you've gotta admit, it was Bush who got us into the mess in the first place on what appear to be false pretenses. There were no weapons of mas destruction, and this seems to be a primary reason we went in in the first place. Other than that, he has lowered taxes (a good thing) but without improving the efficiency of the government to get more done with less. Instead, he has lowered revenue while increasing spending and driving us more and more into debt. I don't think he's done anything good for our school systems as we seem to be ranked pretty low when compared with other countries. I don't know, what is there to be proud about with this guy? I suppose some people are stubborn and don't like to be proven wrong, but seriously, this guy kind of sucks.

The man has polarized our nation politically, alienated us in the world stage, bankrupted our country, and sold us out to the highest bidder. Any one who can say they are proud of this record is not paying attention.
The 2-second attention span of most americans has reduced our democracy to nothing more than sound bites. More americans are aware that Paris is going to jail than what is going on with Alberto Gonzales. In this type of climate, one of us-vs.-them, red-vs-blue, lib-vs-con, there seems to be no "fair weather fans". Those who are for the pres stick by him no matter what, those against can't believe that they are surrounded by so many clueless people.
Single issue voters are destroying our democracy. Hopefully we will see some intelligent choices emerge in 2008. Voters will back a candidate based solely on their church affiliation, their stance on abortion, gays, or their marital status- as if these are the most important issues of the day. Ask a voter why they back their choice and they will say "he's pro-life" or "he's tough on terror". The best one I heard was "I voted for W. because he's a real cowboy". Ask those same people about education, health care, environmental issues, border security, immigration, trade and there is dead silence. Or maybe a "you damn liberals don't get it...we have to fight them over there so we don't have to fight them here...Clinton's fault..."
In summary...nope, not proud. Ashamed, embarrassed. Especially because we have a leader who didn't recieve the majority of votes to be elected in the first place (some of you weren't old enough to vote in 2000- but he lost the popular vote). I just can't help but think the richest most advanced country on the planet could find a better representative- one who at the very least can formulate a sentence.
By the way...Iraq had nothing to do with Sept 11, they had no weapons of mass destruction, was not a threat to the US what so ever, housed no al-queda operatives, funded no terrorism against the US (unlike Bush buddies in Saudi Arabia), were secular in nature, kept Iran in check, offered their people education and opportunity. We have changed all that now. And for what?

When I had one chance to buy a potential race horse champion at the Hanover horse auction, I took along another more experienced trainer than myself. We should be Proud and grateful that former oilman President Bush would take the initiative of trying to decrease the future cost of oil. We cannot live without oil.

he is the right guy. we all know that dems/libs would have been less aggressive with this whole thing. clintons actions showed that with the 93 wtc bombings, the cole and so on. he may not have done the best job but he did better than most. there were some hiccups but in the big picture he has done well, like him or not. take away the republican title and look at his COMPLETE history. he has done well. his approval rating is almost exclusively tied to the war.

Okay, he has done everything he said he was going to do. He has made tough decisions in the face of adversity. He has demonstrated on a world wide scale that our nation won't just sit back and allow terrorists free reign. He cut, taxes, secured our education system, firmed up our military, and helped overall job growth while lowering the crime rate.

I am not ashamed to say that I voted for him in 2000 and in 2004, nor do I believe he is doing anything that we didn't vote for him to do. It's we the Americans who changed our mind about what we wanted him to do. On September 20, 2001 his approval rating was 91%. Today it's 1/3 of that. Is it because Bush has done a bad job? Or is it because Americans have changed their minds on what we think his job should be???

Much is said about our president Bush. But the truth is. He didn't vote himself president. We the people put him in office. Even if you yourself didn't vote for him. Still he won because he had a majority of votes. That is the American way.
