Forrest Gump. Tom Hanks was fantastic in it! The supporting cast (Sally Fields, Robin Wright Penn, and Gary Sinise) were also really really good. I thought it was a very touching story and i loved how the story evolved as time went on, from showing him as a child encountering Elvis to when he went to Vietnam, and then met Nixon, and all the way through when he had his own son.

Since taste in movies changes with the times, as evidenced by the unbelievable answers you are getting (Tommy Boy? Dumber and Dumber?) it's difficult to pick just one, but I'll go with "Casablanca", and I'll bet I won't be the only one. Here's looking at you, kid!

Are you kidding? Star Wars of course!!! The movie changed the face of movie production entirely. Where do you think CGI , and the use of the Green Screen Technique came from anyway? LucasArts pioneered most of the special F/X techniques we see today. George Lucas actually had his B-day yesterday!

Well, I've got a few that are all pretty close with each other:
The Uninvited (a 1944 horror film, AMAZING)
Best in Show (<3 Indy films)
Shindler's List
Ack, now I'm going blank. Well, there's two that I consider to be the best of the best. :D

Wow - that is a tough one to answer...wish you had broken it down to best of the decade or best of say, western or horror.
If I was gonna watch just one movie for the rest of my life, it would be "Fantasia", the Disney animation with classical music.
Someone really must have been high as a kite to create this fantastic movie.
It still holds my attention and continues to amaze me what was created so long ago!
So there: "Fantasia"
