50/50 are you people crazy.50% lead 50% tin has been illegal to use on potable systems for years.95/5 still has lead in it 95% tin -5% lead, go get no-lead solder.You can get it at any hardware store or plumbing supply.50/50 is still available and can be used on boiler heating systems I no longer use 50/50 at all just handling it or soldering with it exposes you to the lead.

They now make non-leaded solder. Most leaded solder is against code now. 95-5 has always been used on hot water lines (some places require it). It does not have lead and may be used on all plumbing lines. Do not use an acid core solder.

Yes 50/50 but you must use lead free solder.

You must us 95/5 in any potable water system.
