music production?

hi,im thinking about changing my course(currently computer science) to a music production course but i dont know if i would like that in the long run. is there any easy to use softwsre with a lot of documentation that i could use to get an idea of it. also any websites or articles would be usefull

ProTools, Nuendo, Cubase, Cool Edit Pro, Audacity. All great programs to try.
