suthrnlyts2004 : You make a good point. Democrats could score some points in the South if they closed the borders, huh?

Scott B : Next time just answer the question. Say something like "No, the GOP does plenty for the middle class' It was a 'yes' or 'no' question. It would serve you better than insinuating that I am a moron and than calling me a liar. Do your boys have little penises too? See, I am assuming that because you love money so much that you were shortchanged at birth in that department.

Not only that - also the corporate thirst for cheap SKILLED labor, procured through the ever-expanding H1B visa program that brings foreign-born, foreign-educated engineers to the US to do the work that highly skilled, highly experienced, and, yes, highly paid Americans were laid off from doing in the last several years. Worse still is that those same young, inexpensive engineers leave the US with enhanced intellectual leverage and go to work for businesses in their home countries that are starting to clean our clocks in key technologies.
That's the result of conservative genuflection to the corporatist view of the Free Market.

each and all of the Arizona regulation does in verify the federal regulation surpassed in 1996 the place a close-by police officer stops somebody for a distinctive reason and the officer suspects the guy may well be interior the country illegally, that guy or woman may well be introduced in and put in front of a federal immigration valid. After that the federal officer might take care of the subject as they do now. they might run the guy's advice by way of a working laptop or computing gadget to verify whether or no longer they are criminal or no longer. At that factor that's as much as the federal government because of the fact immigration is a federal count. This works interior the comparable way whilst a close-by officer suspects unlawful drugs, the suspect may well be became over to federal officers. The Arizona justice equipment will deport no person as thay is a US federal duty and the federal government would be certain each and each case.

Your G&* D*?@n right. Many many "cons" are extremely upset over the soft on immigration policy that is pandering to expected future voters who family of or sympathetic to illegals.
The idiocy is that illegals are killing the blue collar trades as well. California spends over $30B a year on health care for illegals!
If I don't have to pay taxes and get free healthcare ( as the illegals do), I could work for alot less and take home alot more. Think about it.

Might I ask what the stance is of all of those elected Democrats who are wasting our time Bush Bashing?
I thought they were now in power to do some things?
My vote goes to whoever is serious about closing our borders and is for the Fair Tax. There are many other issues as well, but those are very important.

We do? Darn I guess I missed that memo again. I'm so glad I have the biased left wing to tell me what I'm supposed to be for and against. Let's try this again, I'll go slow and use small words... Big business is at the center of economy, when they make money, all of us make money. Whatever drivel you are trying hard to get across about illegal immigration is senseless, we don't expect you to understand, after all... you are a liberal. Don't lie about being conservative, it's kind of pathetic.

News flash: the Democrats aren't doing anything about it either. Any party that takes away big business' new cheap labor is going to get destroyed when big business starts endorsing the other candidate, that favors amnesty type programs. To pretend like only Republicans do this is purely ignorant.

If the same were not true of Democrats we would have built the fence years ago.
Until illegals can run for public office politicians will not fix the problem.

This is the only issue that I split from the white house on. But I've got my congresswoman working hard for me, because she believes as I do.
