prostitutes are doing their thing ANYWAY, why not put them to good use & let them serve the inmate population on an "organized/structured prison facilities program" & give the inmates sex services. wouldnt that do some good for those caged & sexually frustrated men who crave female companionship & rape other men in prisons to relieve themselves sexually? and wouldnt it put a curb on them from being so ANGRY all the time? their sexual needs would be met by a woman, they'd get some companionship, condoms could be provided for safe sex purposes & possibly the same can be done for women in prison. and this could be organized on a regularly scheduled timeframe & possibly lower the "crimes" being committed in prison & possibly help inmates to keep their SANITY. it can be paid for by the GOVERNMENT. in the end, WE will wind up paying for it with our own tax dollars but what do any of you think about this?

OR if the government doesnt pay for it or if WE dont pay for it with our tax dollars, the INMATES can pay for it themselves (if they have it). this can also be structured in a way that things dont get out of control & it doesnt become one of the "privileges" of being in prison.

Talk about tax and spend. We the citizens would have to pay $$ so criminals can get laid??? I don't think so.

We could legalize it and tax it, but they should not be serving the inmate population. If you want to have sex with women, don't commit crimes that send you to prison. Prison should be a terrible place, not the government sponsored Holiday Inn. I would not want my tax dollars to go for such a stupid idea. How about we do some forced labor instead? Inmates who are dead tired won't have the energy to hurt each other. At least we will get something useful out of the inmate population, who is nothing more than a boil on the *** of society.

I'm not so opposed to the legalization of prostitution, but using tax dollars to provide sex to inmates is another matter. We need SOME deterrent to crime. Prisons were designed to be that deterrent, but we have taken a lot of the sting out of it in the last few decades. If we provide free sex to inmates, why would they not want to go to prison. Like Alan S said below, I may even turn to crime hoping to go to prison. We need to find ways to reduce the crime rate here in the free world, not to increase it.

Why limit the legalization of prostitution to inmates? Your idea may sound radical, but it's not. I don't think the government should pay for it, but if inmates have sources of income or family members that want to donate, I don't see why it should be an issue. As long as the services are regulated such that diseases aren't spread and women aren't put in danger. Also, if such a program were put in place, the inmates should only receive it if they are behaving well so it creates an incentive for good behavior and the service should not be available for inmates convicted of sex crimes (for obvious reasons).

Eh, I say we should just execute more prisoners. Less money and less rape.

On a more realistic note, prostitution is against the law in the US, so providing those "services" to inmates isn't possible. Besides, you may actually cause an increase in the crime rates, since the people who couldn't afford hookers before would be getting free ones on the inside.

I think you are insane. Not only would this actually INCENT criminals to continue offending, but it's exploitative of women who, in many instances, are victims of criminal sex rings to begin with.

It must be sad to be someone who thinks so little of human dignity as you do. Regardless of how despicable some in the criminal system might be, are you really such a small, small person?

Get your mind out of the dirt. We are making prisoners lives more cushy by providing creature comforts!

I think the men in prison should go without as part of their punishment.

I think its a really stupid idea. They're incarceratred to be punished. I don't care if they're angry. If your concern is that they're angry and costing tax dollars, why not just release them all?

I sure hope this is a joke.
I certainly don't want my tax money footing the bill for criminals to have sex.
