1985 Chicago Bears. I don't care that they had a single loss, they would have tore the 1972 Dolphins up and down the field. The 72 Dolphins played 1 team with a winning record the whole year, playing a 14 game season, (with playoffs they went 17-0) while the Bears played a 16 game season, ending 18-1. The 85 Bears were superior in every catagory to the 72 Fins. AND, the commonly known "fact" that the 1972 Dolphins are the only undefeated NFL team in history is a lie. They are only the first undefeated SUPERBOWL team. But, there were teams prior to the first Superbowl that also went undefeated. The 1972 Dolphins are a fraud.

If you're going "team" by 1 season
you have to give it to the team that didn't lose
AKA the 72 Dolphins
the 85 Bears were probably a better team 95% of their season....but a loss is a loss...and the best teams don't lose.
-best franchise........which is much different than "team" so i doubt that's what you mean.....
you'd have to go 49ers, Cowboys, Packers, and Steelers in no real order.
as for your "patriots suck"....
i hate them too....but be mature about it

There is only one answer to that question... the Steelers of the 1970's. 4 Super Bowls in 6 years, numerous Hall of Famers, and the Steel Curtain Defense.
