I saw a news report covring a decrease in the amount of honey bees. Since bees pollenate plants, this could harm the crops.
I also saw a report in which a scientists believes radio waves from cell phones could be harming the bees.
My question" where the outrage against cell phones? Isthis less serious than global warming/

Can you link to your report?
There is no link between the 2. Population fluctuation is a natural thing and it has been happening for eons.

Hi,

Yes, I've seen those reports. I think the info is still fairly preliminary, and so that might be why there isn't any outrage yet. It has been widely noted, at least in the US and Europe, that honeybee populations are nose diving. However, there are other explanations that also have their proponents, for example I think some say that the bees may have an unidentified parasitic or viral infection. Additionally, as you can see from the first answerer above, some people simply react by saying "That's impossible!" and ignoring the chance that the reports will prove accurate.

In terms of seriousness, I think this may be more important than global warming if the situation doesn't improve within a year or two. This is because bees make our food: something like 80% of what we eat depends on honeybee pollination of plants. 80% less food is a serious, serious crisis.

Needless to say, I will be watching the reports on this for the next few years! Hopefully, it will be understood and remedied soon - maybe even before most people discover that there is a problem.

food shortages are foretold in revelations "... a quart of wheat for a days wages and 2 quarts of barley for a days wages and do not damage the oil and the wine..."
If you're a believer then you know what I'm talking about, if not you'll just stand there wondering why things just keep getting worse and worse.
I can only surmise that the thumbs down came from those standing around wondering.

What's even more frightening is the apathy about the whole situation. Our food supply is threatened, and NO ONE cares.
