Those shampoo kits with the combs are fairly inexpensive nowadays. It would be the easiest way to get rid of them, to do two or three sessions with that. For about $10-$15 you should even be able to get the kit with the spray for bedding and such. If you don't want to go through that trouble, make sure you wash and dry all bedding on days when you do the shampoo, and dry it on high heat to kill the lice. Put anything large like pillows that cannot be washed in an airtight bag for a few days to kill the lice. Just the shampoo to kill them is under $5.

There is no home remedy you have to go to a doctor and ask them to give you a shampoo that kills lice. Quick if you have lice it will spread every were and to every one. Also buy that lice spray and spray it on your sheets but in the mean time you should blowdry your hair (lice dont like heat) Also boil your combs so the lice die becuase they might have lice on them if you use it.

First , get a good quality lice comb. You need it to comb the nits out. A home remedy to kill the lice is to saturate your hair and scalp in rubbing alcohol. Don't get it in your eyes. Remember alcohol is flammable. After that, rinse and shampoo. Wash and tumble dry all the bedding. Vacuum the carpets and furniture. Of course, boil all the hair fixing supplies. Tumble dry all the stuffed animals.

Lice breathe through their sides, so because they are becomging so immune to OTC tx, poor vegetable oil on your head and soak it thoroughly. Then wrap in saran wrap for hours. do this repeatedly for approx a week so the nits, (babies) can be killed too once they hatch. Pain in the *ss but its what I was told when my child got it and the OTC and even Prescription meds did not do it for her. By the way, lice LOVE clean hair, so if you dont have to, dont clean it as frequently.

my girls had it alot when they were younger and they had LONG hair.. .when you live in the wooded areas.. you seem more proned to get it.. well.. you go to walmart or anywhere and buy neutrogena TGel shampoo.. its tar-based shampoo..i used it once a week on my girls.. it stinks like all get out.. but i condition it after i shampoo with T GEL.. you can also alternate by using Paul Mitchell Tea Tree... works great in preventing and killing it.... I got tired of wasting my money on RID.. its so dang hard to shampoo DRY hair especially when its LONG... another good source in killing lice is to get mayonnaise and put it in their hair for about an hour... shampoo with tea tree after that... do it one time then again the next week.. then comb out the nits.... but most importantly.. you have to wash beddings.. spray couch and mattress!!! hope this helps!!!
