We have a joint account that we both put money in to pay bills, then we each have our own checking acounts.
I don't have nay money hidden, but I'm sure he does somewhere.

I think having a joint account with both names is appropriate for shared expenses like household bills, groceries, mortgage etc.. Also, each partner should have seperate accounts for personal expenses like getting your nails done, getting a new fishing rod ect.. There should be a set percentage each has to contribute to the joint account and a set % should go int a savings account each pay day; and anything besides that can go into your personal account for your own spending. I'm not married, but this is how it will be when I am.

We share all money and have one account. I don't hide money unless I as saving up for a gift that I don't want him to know about.

Nope, Hubby and I share accounts and neither of us have secret money hiding spots.
At least, I don't think he has a secret money hiding spot! ;)

Separate all the way. I got burned during my first marriage, I'll never share an account with anyone ever again.

We each have a separate account and together we have a joint account. No secrets (that I know of)

We have a joint account and then I have one of my own and he has one of his own. We just kind of keep back up money in there or sometimes it's really nice around christmas because I shop online so he can't read where I've gone shopping when he checks accounts online!
