LACC and SMC are similar, except if you get admitted to LACC's Theatre Academy, which is different from the general theater major program. Most CC's are similar for transfer rates, including to UCLA, you want to look at the successful transfer rate (percent of transfers) not the total number, because some CC's are larger and have more students planning for transfer. SMC brags about it's transfers but it really doesn't have significantly higher successful percentage numbers than other community colleges, and it should have a way higher percentage due to the demographics (many well off local kids who slacked off in high school).

SAMO is a better school hands down. My sister currently goes to nursing school in simi valley. There are great schools althrough the area. Good luck!
