Have any of ya heard that "buzz" coming out of speakers when they aren't set up right? I hear it when I connect a 3.5mm mini jack to the headphone insert, connect dual RCA lines with an adapter, and run those to my receiver. When I Plug in headphones to the insert no buzz so what am I doing wrong?

Ensure that the power cable to the speakers is no crossing the audio cable. The sound you're hearing is most likely due to grounding issues.

Make sure that the computer and speakers share the same power source/power bar. If you still hear the ground loop hum, try lifting the ground of the speakers power plug by purchasing a ground lift adapter. Should be available at most hardware stores or electronics suppliers.
