Mr Al Fayed is calling for her to take the stand, and give account of her conversations with Paul Burrell. What do people think??

The 'alleged' conversation was HRH saying to Paul Burrell with ref. to Diana's death, 'there are things that go on that we cannot know' Or something like that. Mr Al Fayed is wanting to know what things???

Mr Al Fayed is either a psycho or an idiot. He constantly insults the Royal family and does not understand why he is denied citizenship; he has this crazy idea that Diana was killed by the Royal family; (I imagine he also believes that the September 11 attack on the World Trade Centre was not perpetrated by terrorists)

Princess Diana was not wearing a seatbelt and the driver of the car was well over the legal limit of intoxication. It was a very tragic accident but one that could have been avoided.

It is natural for Mr Al Fayed to be devastated by the death of his son, as any parent would be, but it seems to me that he needs grief counseling so that he can come to terms with his loss. Princess Diana's sons - members of the royal family -were equally devastated by the loss of their mother but they have handled their grief and are able to lead productive lives.

The Queen should not be subjected to doing anything because of the whims of this man.

I really don't see how her testimony would affect anything at all, she was safely in bed in England when Diana died in Paris, and I don't believe there is any proof that Mr Burrell had any part in the fatal crash. They might as well call me to testify, I'd be able to throw just as much light on the case (which is none). Mr Al Fayed will never get his son back, nor will he ever be able to prove that Bucks palace had anything to do with the deaths. For his own sake and to relieve his own grief, he should let it rest. Good question, have a star!

I think that Mr Al Fayed needs to leave the Queen alone and start looking at HIS associates. They aren't know for their manners. Mr Al Fayed is angry because he has been continuously denied British citizenship and this is something that he can keep in the papers and take the light off of his business dealings!

The Queen cannot testify or take the stand in a court because she is above the law.

I think you're digging up the old Burrell affair/trial, wherein The Queen met with police and informed them that Burrell had already told her that he had goods previously belonging to Diana in his possession. She was ok with this and as she can't be brought forward as a witness, the trial collapsed.

Paul Burrell! He can hardly be a credible witness himself. I think the Queen would probably be above the law anyway, but she is hardly likely to 'shoot herself in the foot'. As for Al Fayed, he should let sleeping dogs lie, and see this incident for what it always was. A tragic accident.

Her Majesty The Queen is Constitutional Monarch. She is also Head of State. The Queen takes orders from no one.
Her Britannic Majesty is NOT subject to the law, She IS the Law. The Courts are Hers and She cannot be tried, brought to court or prosecuted. If Mr Al Fayed does not understand the British Constitution, he should take advice before allegedly wanting to "call for "her" to take the stand!!!!

Just pure rubbish! The Queen does not need to explain herself, espicially since it was private conversation. Mr Al Fayed goes too far, here.

No, and time and money should not even be being wasted on this. Lord Stevens already concluded what the French investigation already concluded - that it was an accident.

So al Fayed lost his son? William and Harry lost their mother and are moving on with their lives. al Fayed is thoughtless scum for implying their grandparents had something to do with their mother's death.

The Queen doesn't have to. Its her court. Everyone in there is answerable to her. I think Mr Al Fayed should just stop with all the conspiracy nonsense. He really needs to come to terms with his sons death. Otherwise he'll never ever move forward.
