I went to Blockbuster to pick up Pan's Labyrinth, and the only ones they had, were all in spanish. I then went to Best Buy and found only spanish copies also. I know they did the english version in theaters, so where did that one go? Is there any way to get English language on the dvd itself? Please let me know something. Thanks

I live in Jacksonville, NC. I live extremely close to Camp Lejeune, they had a english version there on base, and one in Wilmington. So there are dubs, I just need to find them I guess.

There shouldn't be an "authorized" English language version of Pan's Labyrinth. There wasn't one made. If you saw/heard it, you are in a small minority. When I saw it in theatres it was definitely in Spanish, I know I read subtitles.
I even found times when the Spanish spoken was similar enough to French (which I understand) that I could follow along without the subtitles.
It is possible that you were so taken into the story that you honestly believe you heard it in English. I know it has happened to me. ; )

Here's a link on the film, with more links that will take you to further information.

My copy of the dvd has no English soundtrack...Only subtitles.

I don't know where you went, but when I saw it in theater it was in spanish.

Why don't you buy the DVD and put the dubs on if it bothers you that much?

FYI, if you can read the back of the DVD, that means its an ENGLISH DVD, the movie was just made (original format) in spanish.

I bought the movie for my wife, she loves "Pan", however, she (nor I ) was aware of the spanish only. We muttled through it, and once we got through the 1st 10 - 15 minutes of reading the sub-titles, it was almost automatic, and I subconsciously read them while watching the movie and I think in the end, after having to read the chat, really imbedded the words and the movie ended up being probably one of the best I have seen in a long time. Give it an honest try, maybe it will take 2 viewings, to get it all.

It's a foreign movie and they only made it in spanish for the DVD. It has subtitles in English.

Did you actually see the movie when it was in the theatre?
There is no Englished dubbed version that I know of. It really isn't that difficult to read the subtitles.
