Hello, I'm 14, at school I left my debit card somewhere and I couldn't find it. I just got home and i want to cancel my card before my mom finds out, I also want to get a new card FAST...How long would it take?

you may want to call the bank asap to avoid any fradualnt charges , someone who finds it may use it !

Call your bank (if you don't have the number, look in the phone book or online) and tell them you lost your card. They'll probably ask you when is the last time you used it to see if there have been any additional purchases on there and then they will flag it (this alerts merchants that it was stolen) and cancel it.
A lot of banks will charge you 20.00 to ship a new card out next day, but if you don't want to pay, it could take anywhere from 5-10 business days.

You need to call the bank and tell them it is lost. You will have to have your account information to do it. The bank will cancel your card and issue you another one, but it usually takes about a week or so to get it. Sorry, but your mom is probably going to find out, so you are better off just telling her now.

Call the bank that issued the card and tell them it was lost. They'll be able to stop all transactions on it pretty quickly and get you a new card within a week or two.
In the future, its a good idea to photo copy the fronts and backs of all the cards in your purse (and store somewhere safe at home) so that in the event they are lost you have all the card numbers and phone numbers and don't forget about any of them.

i wish i had a debit card when i was fourteen. Call the company who issued the debit card or go online to the site and log in and do it that way. Calling would probably be quicker. You can cancel and request a new card either way. Other than that tell your mother. good luck

Call the bank and cancel it. Then tell your mom. Your new one will arrive in the mail, so she's going to find out anyway.
If you call after you've cancelled it, she may be impressed with your reaction...though probably still a little upset that you lost it and it had to be reported lost in the first place.

You can cancel the card quick by calling your bank's 800 #. A new card will probably take a week or two.

WHy do you have a debit card at 14? WHat do you need one for. do you have a job and your own bank account?
You have to call the bank and cancel it and it usually takes 14 days or so to get a new one.

Call your bank ASAP! (All banks have a toll free 800 number you can call).
They will cancel it for you and send you a new one in 3-7 business days.
Tell your Mom, she can only help with the situation...especially if her account is linked to yours.
