Depends on if you are going by wingspan, flightless birds, or what. Condors are probably the largest flying birds.
If you are interested in crypto-zoology, there cases being made for the Thunderbird which apparently was the size of a small plane. There are accounts as recent as the 1980's in Illinois alone of those types of sightings.
And for fun, look up Piasa Bird. ( pronounced Pie ah saw) from Alton Illinois. That reportedly was the last of the pterosaurs. Fun to look at that.
