Nope. If we are all his children, why are there Christians, Protestants, Muslims, Shintos, Hindus, Sheiks, Mormans, Jews. ect. ect. ect. all espousing that they have the inside track to the 1 true God? Say for instance that Christians are right. Then everybody else is going to hell. Say Muslims are right, then you are going to hell. Sound like a god that sees us all as his children? The religions are there to aid , comfort, and support you as you spin around a small insignificant star at the edge of a galaxy of a billion stars in a cosmos of a 10 billion galaxies. All the while, pretending that you are the one and only beloved species created in god's image and his personal little pet project, while he watches over you and knows your every thought. Get a grip. You are an organism existing on a piece of rock in space along with other organisms that are evolving along with you. The problem is, humans think they are special because of mans arrogance. Try to remember, 500 years ago the world was flat and the Earth was the center of the solar system. Don't let the passed down dogma of that brilliance brainwash you into believing in the boogey man. Look for God somewhere other than the organized church. Thats the last place you will find Him.

My life experiences (not just what happened to me which is really not much compared to suffering worldwide) tell me that He doesn't take a lot of time dealing with the day to day on Earth.
To be born poor and needy in the USA is unfortunate, to be born poor and needy in the third world is a sentence to a life of unending pain and torment and almost unimaginable deprivation.
We that live on Earth must help all our fellow creatures, recognizing that He may not for whatever His unfathomable reason may be.
For a human to attempt an understanding of His Mind and motivations is similar to an amoeba attempting to understand the Apollo Program.
I try, I fail, I praise Him yet without question or condition.

I do not agree. Unless, of course, He's not all-powerful. Visit a children's cancer ward sometime, and see if you agree with me. If He is all-powerful, He's not a God of Love. If He's a God of Love, He's not all-powerful. There's another option--and this is the one that most people have trouble with--just maybe He doesn't exist.
And while we're on the subject, could you please edit your quesiton so that you can tell me how not feeling worthy of His love enhances your life? That's always confused me when I hear someone say that.

First of all, you are worthy of God's love. Why would he have made you if you were not? And whether anyone believes it or not, we all have our place in the scheme of things. God meets our needs in a way that they need to be met, but not necessarily in a way which we want them met.

No don't believe a word of it. I am my parents' child, no one but me knows my needs, my pain, and the deeds I don't want anyone to know about. I don't play games and I am real. Hope nobody thinks I am a God. You need to get real with yourself.

Yeah I do think he knows our needs. But he instilled in each one of us the ability to reason, and freedom to make our own choices. Its up to each one of us. He knows our needs, but until you turn to him, those needs will never be filled.

Very well said, I agree, plus a STAR
It takes more guts to believe than it does to deny, that is
why so many of the atheists are just gutless.
