"Obstructionist Republicans"?! HAHAHA!!!!
Pot, meet kettle! Isn't obstruction EXACTLY what we got when George Bush took power? Didn't the left OBSTRUCT at every opportunity? That's what I thought.
By the way, it STILL says something when the congress' ratings are as low as or lower than the president's. It means you can't blame everything on George Bush, and you can't say that it's HIM the American people disapprove of exclusively. The American people are fed up with most politicians. Period.

Because they promised 9 things in 90 days yet only brought up and passed 1. They completely ignored their promises to work on Healthcare, education, social security, immigration and other reforms and let their egos get to them to the point of spending 5 months writing an unrealistic bill that they knew the president would veto. So while they are poping their egos, our country is sitting by wasting money paying them to break promises.

Because about half are Republicans and that means that congress is unable to over-ride a veto! That will change in 2008. Just keep ripping us off for the never-ending war in Iraq, and the daily body bags, and you will be lucky to keep even 1/3 of the seats, no matter how you redistrict states!

The games with the emergency war funding bill is not sitting well with the American people. It is a gross miscalculation by the democrats. It is alienating the hawks and not satisfying the doves. They can make a much stronger case for funding it with reservations than for trying to weaken the office of the Presidency especially since they hope the next president to be one of their own.

Because they lied to the people who elected them into office. Most of their time has been spent bashing Bush.

because people hate most politicians right now...It's impossible for anyone to do anything with government so gridlocked, which at least to me means the less interference government dictates to our lives so i'm all for it
