I know that pregnant women of size(plus size) can understand where I am coming from. I don't understand why the maternity clothing for us is so so so so so much higher than those for smaller women. Yes I know there is more material, but it is so much higher than even our regular clothing. Not to mention there are almost no stores to purchase plus size maternity.

Tell me why!!!!?

Walmart has maternity but not plus size. Old Navy does not carry plus size maternity.

Try buying regular plus size clothes but just a size or two bigger. Totally feel your pain.

I couldn't agree more!! I have had a terrible time finding things that fit right this time around. I was the same size almost 6 years ago when i had my daughter and I don't remember having this same problem. I was able then to buy maternity clothes at Target and Sears and a few other places, but haven't been able to this time around. I don't know if it's because the styles are different or what. I've had limited success at Motherhood Maternity, but like you said their clothes are a lot higher prices than what I was wanting to pay, and they only have 2-3 racks for plus sizes! It's so frustrating because about 40% of women in today's society are considered "plus" sized, but there is so little space for them in stores.

Also, what is it with the hoochie looking maternity stuff! I have to dress for an office job and I'm bustier than a lot of women, and I can't wear some of today's maternity fashion because I would fall out of them! Don't get me wrong, I understand the feeling beautiful when you're pregnant, but I don't need to let it all hang out to feel that way!

I know how you feel. I just went to Motherhood this past weekend and they didn't have anything bigger than a large. How depressing.....like I'm not emotional enough!! I almost starting crying in the store. I got an XL maternity shirt at Walmart, and at 4 months, my boobs were already popping out of it. I have gotten a lot of maternity clothes off of ebay. I have gotten some really cute capris for the summer that were size 2x (my butt is not fitting into anything smaller) and they have a ton of XL shirts. I just got three pairs of capris for $30, including shipping. Hopefully this helps.

Have you tried online. I think Old Navy and Gap have more sizes available online. Plus you can return stuff in stores. So I would order alot then return most of it.

Plus the styles right now are so much more maternity friendly with the flowy long tops. I also preferred wearing elastic or drawstring skirts when pregnant vs any maternity ones.

I'm not of the plus size...but i can understand where you're coming from, i didn't realise that plus size clothing was that much more. Have you just tried Wal-Mart? I know they carry larger sizes and have fairly decent prices, that's where i'm buying my maternity clothes.

Don't get maternity clothes get larger size shirts and pants with Elastic. I found large size shirts at Wal-Mart in the mens department. I'm not a large woman but I think the maternity clothes are ugly.

Because they figure it stretches enough...bastards! I know what you mean. I'm not even that big and I couldn't find a plus size maternity suit. I guess they figure no one wans to get us pregnant.
