Many universities have two summer sessions -- each lasting about six weeks.
Every school has its own schedule -- so no one here can tell you when the ones at your school start. However, you can go to the main web page of your school and look for a link that says "Academic Calendar" -- it will give you all the dates you need. If you can't find the link, there is probably a place where you can search fo r it.

It depends on the school you're attending. There are usually two to three summer sessions of classes each year. At my school, Summer I begins June 11 and ends July 13. Session II begins the week after and goes until August. Classes are very intense, much longer than usual, and usually meet everyday. The tuition for summer classes is also usually higher.

It varies at each school. Here Summer I is the first session it last from May 30 – June 29, 2007. Summer session is the second session: July 2 – August 2, 2007.
