It's about an young guy goes to a dance, meet a girl, lends her his sweater, walks her home. goes back to get his sweater and finds out she died a year ago today, goes to the graveyard and finds his sweater on her grave...Sound familiar to anyone?

and then he takes the sweater to her home to return it and the mother tells the young man she dies a year ago. Sorry, don't remember the name but it was a song.

I've heard the story told as a ghost story or an urban legend, but I can't remember hearing it as a song.
